Last time, I talked about all sorts of things I enjoyed, from great shows to yummy recipes, and more. This week, I’ve got a fresh batch of ideas to make your week extra exciting. These are things that I’ve personally loved, and I hope you’ll enjoy them too. Let’s make this week a great one!
P.S. As I didn’t buy anything during last week, there is no suggestion to shop from my side!Â
1. Watch!
I had the incredible pleasure of watching “Dead Poets Society” last week, and I’m absolutely thrilled to recommend it to all of you for the upcoming week. This classic film, featuring the amazing Robin Williams, is a true gem that transcends time. It’s a powerful journey set in an elite boys’ school where an unconventional English teacher sparks a passion for literature, individuality, and embracing life’s opportunities in his students. Trust me, even though it’s an older film, it’s completely worth watching. The performances are outstanding, and the story will leave you inspired. Grab some popcorn, invite your friends, or simply enjoy it on your own! This film is a cinematic experience that shouldn’t be missed!Â
2. Read!
If you’re familiar with the German language, I’ve got a fantastic reading recommendation for you! Dive into “Die Revision des Lebens” by Dr. Petjo Bangeow, a psychologist who skillfully translates his real-life encounters with patients into a captivating novel. One of his patients, facing a terminal illness with only a few months to live, profoundly alters the psychologist’s own perspective on life. The story is gripping, seamlessly weaving real stories that are not only relatable but also elicit deep sympathy for the patients. Moreover, the practical insights shared by the author, a seasoned psychotherapist, are incredibly valuable for navigating the complexities of real-life situations. This book is not just a read; it’s an enriching experience that can truly impact your outlook on life. Plus, the book’s size is just right for your daily commute or to pack along for your vacation adventures. Don’t miss out on this gem!
3. Listen!
Whether you’re a fan of piano music or not, and regardless of whether you’re familiar with Peter Buka, there’s a performance you absolutely must listen to. Peter Buka’s rendition of the track “On My Way” by Alan Walker is nothing short of extraordinary, delivering an incredible experience that’s bound to leave you in awe. As you open up YouTube to savor this masterpiece, I encourage you to explore his other videos as well – there’s a treasure trove of musical delights awaiting you. So go ahead, immerse yourself in the magic of Peter Buka’s piano skills, and enjoy the journey!
4. Eat!
Level up your homemade taco experience with the incredible “Crunchwrap Supreme” recipe from Kathy’s Vegan Kitchen. Wave goodbye to Taco Bell and savor the goodness of this healthy vegan version right at home. This Crunchwrap Supreme is a keeper, offering expert tips on the art of folding, a medley of alternative add-ons, and a symphony of flavors, from creamy avocados to high-protein black beans, all wrapped in a tantalizing crunch. It’s the ultimate fusion of spicy, creamy, crunchy, and utterly satisfying – a must-try for the week. Treat your taste buds and embark on a culinary adventure that’s sure to delight!
5. Wear!
With the weather improving and sunny skies gracing Germany, I’ve happily bid farewell to my jacket indoors! There’s an unmistakable summer vibe in the air, and I’m embracing it by donning the stunning long Dress in Natural Turquoise. Blue might not be the most traditional summer color, but I love it, and this dress beautifully fits the bill. I’ve seamlessly paired it with a chic beige beach bag, complemented by stylish brown sunglasses and comfy brown sandals, and of course, sunglasses! You can also match it with beautiful blue earrings. It’s my own little way of welcoming the season while staying true to my love for blue!
6. Learn!
In the spirit of continuous improvement, I recently discovered the transformative power of the Kaizen technique, and I’m excited to share this fantastic learning approach with all of you. As someone who’s currently using it to learn Bulgarian, I can attest to its effectiveness. The essence of Kaizen lies in taking small, consistent steps toward improvement, making it a fantastic tool for embarking on new learning journeys. The beauty of this method is that it starts with just dedicating 1 minute a day to something new—small but regular. By breaking down the process into manageable chunks and dedicating regular, focused efforts, I’ve found myself making remarkable progress in my Bulgarian language skills. It’s truly remarkable how this method applies not just to languages but to any new skill or endeavor you want to embrace. So, why not kickstart something fresh and exciting in your life? I wholeheartedly suggest you give the Kaizen technique a try, dedicating just a minute a day, and watch as you make continuous strides towards your goals. Here’s to the joy of learning and the empowerment of Kaizen!

7. Write!
This week, I’ve got a great idea to share: make a list of things that make you happy. It’s like having a special go-to guide for when you’re feeling down and need a little pick-me-up. We all have those times when we could use a boost, and this list can be your secret weapon. Imagine having a personal collection of things that bring joy, from small moments to cool experiences, all in one place. This list becomes your happy-place map, showing you the way back to feeling good. It’s a reminder that happiness is just around the corner, a comforting treasure when you need it. So, take a moment to write down what makes you smile, the stuff that brightens your day, people who make you happy, and the simple pleasures. Trust me, this list is like a friend that’s always there to help, making those not-so-good days a bit better. Here’s to boosting your spirits, and may your happiness list be your helpful guide! If you need some inspirations, there are my suggestions to turn to when you need a pick-me-up:
- Nature’s Beauty: A walk in the park, feeling the sun on your face, or simply enjoying a serene view of nature can work wonders.
- Music Magic: Put on your favorite tunes and let the music lift your spirits, whether you want to dance, sing along, or just let it play in the background.
- Laughter Therapy: A funny movie, a stand-up comedy show, or even a video of cute animals – laughter truly is the best medicine.
- A Good Book: Getting lost in a captivating book or escaping into a fantasy world can provide a much-needed escape.
- Random Acts of Kindness: Doing something nice for someone else often leaves you feeling amazing.
- Creativity Unleashed: Engage in a creative hobby like painting, writing, or crafting, where you can express yourself freely.
- Exercise Endorphins: A workout, yoga session, or even a leisurely stroll can release endorphins that boost your mood.
- Quality Time: Spend time with loved ones – family, friends, or even your furry companions – they bring joy and comfort.
- Mindfulness Moments: Take a few minutes for meditation, deep breathing, or simply being present in the moment.
- Accomplishments Acknowledged: Reflect on your achievements, even the small ones, and give yourself credit.
- Comfort Food: A tasty treat or a well-cooked meal can provide comfort and satisfaction.
- Learning Adventures: Dive into a new topic, skill, or hobby, stimulating your mind with curiosity.
Have fun with that! 🙂

Bonus
During our recent trip to Croatia, I realized the importance of having a comprehensive packing list to ensure that nothing was left behind. While I came across a few lists, none of them included all the items I needed. Consequently, I decided to create my own packing list tailored for future travels with a toddler. You can download this list for free and personalize it to suit your upcoming trips.
