The candid conversations with business visionaries make the journey of building something from scratch seem both daunting and doable. In this article, he brilliantly distills the essence of his book, explaining how habits work, why they matter, and how they can be transformed. Duhigg draws on engaging real-life examples, from the habits of individuals to those within organizations, making the subject matter not only enlightening but also relatable.

Eat!

Let’s try “Dark Chocolate Avocado Mousse” as a threat for the upcoming week! It is a delicious and healthy dessert that combines the richness of dark chocolate with the creaminess of ripe avocados.

Ingredients:

– 2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
– 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (70% cocoa or higher)
– 1/4 cup maple syrup or agave nectar (adjust to taste)
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– A pinch of salt
– 1/2 cup almond milk or any non-dairy milk (adjust for desired consistency)

Instructions:

In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips. You can use a microwave, heating in 20-second intervals and stirring in between, or use a double boiler on the stovetop. Once melted, set aside to cool slightly.

In a food processor or blender, combine the ripe avocados, cocoa powder, melted chocolate, maple syrup (or agave nectar), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Blend the ingredients until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides of the blender or processor as needed.

With the blender or processor running, slowly add the almond milk (or your preferred non-dairy milk) until you achieve the desired consistency. Add more milk if you prefer a lighter mousse. Taste the mousse and adjust the sweetness by adding more maple syrup if needed.

Now, transfer the mousse to serving bowls or glasses and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow it to set and chill.
