I’m happy to share my recent experience watching the film “The Intouchables.” It was an absolute delight! This heartwarming and beautifully crafted story had me hooked from start to finish. The performances were outstanding, and the chemistry between the lead characters was simply magical. I couldn’t help but smile, laugh, and even shed a few tears. Make a date with your couch, grab some popcorn, and settle in to watch it next week. I promise you won’t regret it. This film is a feel-good masterpiece that will leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling. Enjoy!

Listen!

Alejandro Aravena‘s TED Talk, titled “My architectural philosophy? Bring the community into the process,” delivered in 2014, was a groundbreaking and thought-provoking exploration of the role of architecture in shaping our communities. In his talk, Aravena emphasized the importance of involving the local community in designing and constructing architectural projects. He argued that architects should not merely impose their visions but rather collaborate with the people who will ultimately inhabit these spaces. Aravena shared real-world examples of his work, such as the “Half a Good House” project, which showcased innovative, cost-effective designs that empowered residents to complete their homes over time. It is worth to hear it. It inspired a shift in the way people perceive the relationship between architecture and communities. Viewers were encouraged to think beyond aesthetics and embrace architecture as a tool for social change. His ideas challenge the traditional top-down approach to design and resonate with architects, urban planners, and the general public alike.

Read!

I recently had the chance to read the book “Life Worth Living” by Miroslav Volf, and I can’t help but express how inspiring it was. Volf’s insights into the meaning of life, spirituality, and human flourishing are nothing short of profound. His thoughtful exploration of ethics, faith, and the human experience challenges readers to contemplate their values and priorities, ultimately leading to a deeper understanding of what constitutes a meaningful life. Through his eloquent prose and profound reflections, Volf demonstrates the power of compassion, forgiveness, and purpose in our journey toward a life worth living. This book left me with a renewed sense of hope and a fresh perspective on the world around me, making it an essential read for anyone seeking a more fulfilling and purposeful existence.

Eat!

Last Friday, we had some friends over for a delightful evening, and I decided to embark on a culinary adventure by preparing a traditional Persian dish called “Fesenjan.” To our guests, this unique Persian delight appeared rather unusual due to its distinctive brown color and its primary ingredients – walnuts and pomegranate sauce, which are not common in many non-Iranian cuisines. However, once they took the first bite, their hesitations vanished, and they were treated to a burst of flavors that were absolutely delicious. Fesenjan is a delightful blend of sweet and savory, a true gastronomic journey. If you’re feeling curious and want to try your hand at making it, there are fantastic recipes available online (you can make a vegetarian version, if you want) that can guide you through the process. Here is a one!

Wear!

The weather outside is a bit gloomy, with rain and a chill in the air. So, here’s my go-to outfit to tackle these dreary days with both warmth and style! I’m all cozied up in my favorite autumn-colored sweater, a cute mini skirt, and toasty thermal tights to keep me snug. Of course, I’ve got my trusty black boots on to stay dry! As a busy mom, I’ve got to be prepared for anything, so I’ve picked a spacious black handbag to carry all the essentials for me and my little one. And to top it all off, I’ve wrapped myself in a black winter coat to ensure I’m warm and looking good. So, with this ensemble, I’m all set to face the rainy and cold days in style and comfort!

Learn!

Learning to walk away is a vital life skill that empowers us to navigate challenging situations, preserve our well-being, and maintain our personal boundaries. It’s crucial because staying in unhealthy or toxic circumstances can be detrimental to our mental and emotional health. One effective technique to practice walking away is setting clear boundaries and recognizing when they’ve been crossed. Regular self-reflection is key; if a relationship or situation consistently brings negativity and stress, it may be time to walk away. Additionally, communication is vital; express your needs and feelings to those involved, and if necessary, seek support from friends, family, or a therapist. Another technique is to focus on self-care, which helps build emotional resilience and confidence. Ultimately, walking away is an act of self-respect and self-preservation, allowing us to make room for more positive and fulfilling experiences in our lives. It’s a courageous step towards personal growth and happiness. This week try to walk away from the situations that may bothering you by using these techniques and see which one works better for you.

Write!

Having a list of films you want to watch is not just cool; it’s like having a treasure trove of entertainment and experiences waiting for you! It’s a gateway to exciting adventures, emotions, and stories that can transport you to different worlds and time periods. Your film list is a personalized curation of cinematic gems, from classics you’ve been meaning to catch up on to the latest releases that have piqued your interest. It’s a source of anticipation, providing a sense of excitement as you look forward to the next movie night. Plus, it’s a conversation starter, a way to connect with friends and fellow movie enthusiasts by sharing recommendations and finding common favorites. So, get ready to immerse yourself in a world of creativity, imagination, and storytelling by making your own list!

Do!

For this week, I challenge you to embark on a week-long journey that can be incredibly rewarding – read 10 pages each day. It might sound like a small goal, but it can lead to the development of a powerful habit. To stick to this routine and make it a part of your daily life, consider these strategies; First, set a specific time for your daily reading, whether it’s in the morning, during your lunch break, or before bedtime (I chose the last one, as my daughter sleeps). Secondly, create a comfortable reading space with minimal distractions (I chose my bed!). Keep your book or e-reader within easy reach (I put on my night-stand). Third, choose a book that genuinely interests you; when you’re engrossed in the content, you’re more likely to look forward to your daily reading (honestly, I drop the books, if I cannot make a connection with them). Additionally, you can reward yourself for hitting your 10-page target, which can be a great motivator. Lastly, find an accountability partner, a friend, or a family member who can join you in this challenge (actually, I adopted this habit from my husband, as he reads each evening before sleeping). With these strategies in place, you’ll not only read 10 pages a day during the next week but might also develop a lifelong reading habit.

Say!

The quote from Anthony Carter II, “Stop expecting honesty from people who lie to themselves” reflects a profound insight into human behavior and the limitations of expecting truthfulness from individuals who are in denial or not self-aware. While the specific origin of the quote is unclear, it conveys a valuable lesson. It reminds us that sometimes, people may not be intentionally deceptive, but rather they may be so wrapped up in their own self-delusions or self-justifications that they are incapable of being honest with themselves, let alone others. This quote underscores the importance of managing our expectations and understanding that truthfulness is often closely linked to self-awareness. It encourages empathy and reminds us that some individuals may need support and introspection before they can be truly honest with others and themselves.

End Note…

As we wrap up this week’s journey, I hope you’ve found something that resonates with you or sparks your curiosity. Life is a rich tapestry of experiences, and each of these activities can add a layer of joy, insight, or simply a touch of style to your daily existence. Remember, it’s the variety and richness of life that make it truly extraordinary. So, keep exploring, keep learning, and keep sharing your unique perspectives with the world. Until next time, stay inspired, stay curious, and most importantly, stay yourself!
